Story

An invaluable companion for both work and leisure, this oyster knife provides precision, functionality, and grace in one exceptional package. Handmade and engraved with the mark of France’s finest cutlery — the Imperial Bee — it brings peerless craftsmanship to any occasion. Simply insert the knife in the edge of the oyster shell, and give it a sharp twist to pry the two halves apart. From there, work the knife around until you cut through the hinge muscle. Open up, add a squeeze of lemon, and enjoy. The producer was founded in 1829 in Laguiole in the mountain village of Aveyron, in southwest France, where each knife is handmade start-to-finish by a single craftsman, honoring nearly 200 years of unmatched history.
