Story

In their second collaboration together, Standards Manual and photographer Brian Kelley have released Parks, a collection of 300+ United States national park maps, ephemera, and brochures. Showcasing nearly a century of art and cartography, it provides a compelling visual history of America’s parkland. Kelley’s hunt began with a 1964 Grand Canyon brochure; the anonymity of the pieces added mystery to their nostalgia value, and drove his search to grow the collection and connect with the past. Parks uses everyday and oft-overlooked materials as entry points to explore the unique stories about the places and times they represent.
