Story

The Perceval L-10 with Mozambique ebony is a contemporary rendition of a design carried by Alpine shepherds. Optimized for one-handed use with an unobtrusive flipper and beryllium-copper washers for smooth deployment, there’s no fumbling with the L-10 while the other hand is holding fast a rope or harness. The Swedish-made 19C27, a high-grade, abrasion-resistant industrial steel, holds such a fine edge that a locking mechanism is almost obligatory – the slim yet sturdy liner lock is also a quick one-handed function. The scales are Mozambique ebony, one of the hardest, densest woods available, lending to a durable and winsome handle. The knives are slow-ground and polished by hand with emery-covered buffalo leather in Thiers, France, resulting in a finish that carries the pride of a centuries-old design.
