Story

Our Sashiko Chore Coat offers durability and ample pocket storage space, making it a perfectly capable companion for workshop endeavors. Made from indigo-dyed Japanese cotton and cut and sewn in Texas, it features a distinctive sashiko embroidery pattern. Sashiko, a type of running stitch, originated in the Edo era to be both decorative and functional, and ultimately makes garments stronger. Three open patch pockets for stashing away tools, double-needle stitching, and an adjustable two-button cuff — with Best Made-branded Copper Oxide tack buttons — offer incredible versatility. Washed and unlined, it’s a casual layer that offers a striking dose of Japanese color and pattern in a traditional American workwear cut.
