Story

For the avid specimen collector, nothing beats the convenience of these modular trays. The spring steel pins are handmade, feature nylon heads, and are protected against rust with a double coat of black enamel — they stick easily and securely into the plastazoate base of the white trays. Display insects (large and small, winged or terrestrial) with professional quality, and rearrange, organize, and catalog with ease. These Specimen Trays and Pins were featured in our adventure to Petaluma, CA, where we met entomologist and conservation biologist Kevin Clarke, who uses them in his own studio. Each of these trays fits neatly into the Gerstner Collector’s Cabinet, a handsome cherry wood chest designed to display your most precious collections.
