Story

A lot of blades pass through our hands, yet the immaculate workmanship of the Long Ebony Higo gave us pause. The Higo's weight is first noticed: a 0.8 oz. knife is not easily born from ebony, D2 tool steel, and brass. The delicately hand-forged flipper opens the blade breathlessly from the rounded ebony body. Its elegant profile belies a devastating sharpness: hollow-ground like a straight razor and hardened to a shocking 64-65 HRC, the Higo excels when graceful precision is a necessity. Each knife is handmade by a single Japanese craftsman who, in refining his trade since 1974, has achieved a mastery of sublime simplicity.
