Uncle Bill's Sliver Gripper

Vendor: El Mar Inc.

Origin: Hartford, CT

Category: Tools

Price: $8

$8
Tweezers designed by an industrial machinist from Hartford, not a cosmetician from Long Island.
The act of removing a splinter is more painful and tedious than the insertion of one and that's why Uncle Bill, a splinter prone machinist from Hartford, knew all too well he had to take matters into his own hands. Bill Jones died 15 years a go but his legacy lives on, and his patented invention is still made in Hartford, to his exact specifications. What was once designed for lowly machinists on the factory floor, has since become an invaluable tool in many a workshop, tackle box, glove compartment, and first aid kit, and is used to remove splinters, ticks, and most any other fragment that gets under your skin.
