Jared Lamanna was born with brains in his fingers and a photographic memory, destined to take things apart and put them
back together again. By age 6, he was fixing the household plumbing. Then he discovered engines. Now a race mechanic and
the co-founder of Churchill Classic Cars in Eldred, NY, Jared specializes in the restoration and preservation of a massive
collection of rare—and often temperamental—vintage cars. 1964 Austin-Healey 3000. 1963 Porsche 356B. Retaining their gorgeous
patina is just part of his mandate. Whether tuning an SU carburetor, polishing a valve cover or reviving an old distributor, his goals
are always the same: endurance, performance, efficiency, reliability. When they’re ready, Jared unleashes the power of these
beautiful beasts on the winding curves of Hawk’s Nest, a legendary route cut into a mountain high above the Delaware River. It’s all in a day’s work.
