Eddie Braun embodies a life of adventure. For over thirty years (and still going strong) he's built his career as one of the most legendary stuntmen in Hollywood. Most recently he added to his credentials when he launched himself across Idaho's Snake River Canyon in a 10,000 horsepower rocket, a stunt Evel Knievel unsuccessfully attempted in 1974. We teamed up with the filmmakers of Stuntman, the upcoming feature length film that documents Eddie's latest feat, to not only show Eddie, but a cast of some of the most courageous and adventurous stuntmen and women in Hollywood putting their Best Made to the test.

Eddie Braun

Eddie built his reputation over three decades of spectacular stunts in hundreds of film and TV roles, including the fabled TV series The Fall Guy. Famous for more recently soaring across Idaho's Snake River Canyon in a steam-powered rocket—a newsworthy triumph that eluded his childhood idol Evel Knievel—he is also recognized as one of the industry's leading stunt coordinators. Beyond his daredevil driving and well-honed comedy chops, he is known as a mastermind behind the scenes, choreographing teams of skilled stunt artists to deliver cinematic sleight of hand. On set and off, Eddie is never without his sense of humor, steely resilience and his lucky Stan Smiths.

Houston Hooker / Kanan Hooker

For the Hooker brothers, stunt work is a family business spanning three generations. When other kids were mastering the tricycle, the twins were jumping dirt bikes, dropping in on skate ramps and racing BMX. They now specialize in death-defying moves that require technical agility and extreme speed, from water stunts to car chases. The Hooker legacy has instilled in them a deep discipline and dedication. The family mantra? "If you fail to prepare, be prepared to fail."
