Knife and Blade Restoration Workshop

Learn how to polish up your blades and bolsters, hone your sharpening techniques, and get that knife of yours in tip top shape. We'll also cover repairing blade damage, de-rusting, and general cleaning. Bring in any of your knives for this hands-on workshop.
Axe Restoration Workshop

For years we've heard stories from folks about "my father's old axe", or "my grandfather's axe", and we feel strongly that those tools should be kept in the family! This workshop is the perfect time to take that family heirloom and give it the attention, care, and restoration it deserves.
Advanced Axe Sharpening Workshop

Building on the skills from our Axe Restoration Workshops, Advanced Axe Sharpening will focus solely on the important and meditative craft of sharpening axes by hand. Resident axe expert Nick Zdon will talk about the relationship between sharpening and polishing, common axe grinds, and the tools needed to make your axes razor sharp (if not sharper).
Cast Iron Cookware Restoration Workshop
Thursday, October 29th, 2015 - The Best Made Shop, 7-9pm
Learn the basics of cast iron, how to remove old seasoning and rust through various methods including electrolysis, and how to re-season your own cast iron cookware. We'll share a few tips for using and maintaining your cast iron cookware and debunk a few cast iron myths along the way! Bring your own cast iron in for consultation.
A Look Inside The Best Made Workshop
In addition to our public workshops we’re happy to host many of our workshops specifically for private parties. Whether it’s a full day hands-on birthday axe restoration, or a private evening of knife sharpening with your co-workers, our workshops are intimate, personal, and informative.
