The Large Gfeller Document Case
Made exclusively for us in extremely limited quantities, our Gfeller Document case is hand-stitched with a waxed cord, and the robust 8.5 oz. American russet skirting leather is molded and finished with our signature brass snap.
Story
In the course of our travels, we found that few cases were tough enough to not just contain but truly protect our most valuable documents. Then we discovered a small firm in Idaho that specializes in leather goods for archaeologists and geologists, and our prayers were answered. Working directly with Gfeller Casemakers, we designed this simple but exquisitely fabricated case to hold and safeguard maps, important papers, notebooks, an iPad, or even a 13" MacBook Air. Our Gfeller Document Case is made exclusively for us in extremely limited quantities. The case is hand-stitched with a waxed cord, and the robust 8.5 oz. American russet skirting leather is molded and finished with our signature brass snap. The Gfeller case will age gracefully over time, and will soon possess a patina, and a story all to itself.
Starting in 1946, rancher Roy Gfeller made a side business out of repairing saddles. One day, a geologist dropped by to commission a custom belt case for his field documents. Roy's reputation soon spread through the ranks of the scientific community, and ever since,the Gfeller brand has been the most trusted source for leather belts, pouches, and cases.
