A note on Powder Coating:
Powder coating is a dry finishing coloring process that utilizes finely ground particles of pigment and resin. These particles are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the surface of our strongboxes and then coated. Unlike paint, powder coating does not require a solvent to suspend the pigment and resin particles.
Powder coating has low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, a result of its solvent-free composition. And unlike paint, virtually 100% of the powder particles that are oversprayed in the application process are recycled. Durability is also a key benefit to powder coating, as it yields a harder, more wear-resistant finish than conventional liquid paints. Additionally, powder coating offers great coverage, particularly on edges and corners, spots that are often challenging for liquid coatings.
