We discovered this gem from metalworker Matthew Hall—a cockle shell cast in solid bronze that serves as both bottle opener and small sculptural object. Made through lost wax casting, a technique dating back to 2500 BC, each shell begins as a wax model before being transformed into a permanent bronze piece at a foundry near Hall's studio.

The process creates natural variations in texture and patina, capturing the ribbed details and organic form of the original shell.
