We released The Weather Station almost 10 years ago. Since then, there are few topics that have sustained our attention as the weather (outdoors or indoors). And this is just one reason we're so excited to bring this stalwart back.

What we've always loved about The Weather Station is that, unlike an app, this reports in a purely analog format, and it has an opinion. Besides that it's brass, it's got a lively but practical interface, and as such it's always looked great hanging on a wall: in a mudroom, above a desk, or in the living room. For this iteration, we're proud to pick up where we left off with our original German manufacturer, one of the premier makers of precision weather instruments. 

The solid brass case protects the internal instruments: a thermometer and a hygrometer that work in concert. On the left side is humidity, and on the right is temperature. When both needles converge in the hatched zone on the dial, both are in balance, and everything is "just right". And what could be better than that?

Designed for indoor use; outdoors only in a covered, shaded spot, away from direct sunlight and excess moisture.

The Weather Station’s hygrometer uses synthetic fibers to gauge relative humidity. To maintain the hygrometer’s accuracy, revitalize the fibers by wrapping the Weather Station in a cool, damp cloth. This is best done once or twice a year, ideally at the start of winter. The untreated brass case will patina with time. Maintain the luster with an ammonia-based polish, or allow the brass to take on character from its surroundings. If displaying the Weather Station outdoors, place out of direct sunlight and under cover, to ensure maximum accuracy and to protect the hygrometer from excess moisture.
