Our Hanten Jacket is modeled after a rustic winter coat worn in Japan since the 18th century. The longevity of this design is due in no small part to the thick layer of wadded cotton that pads the facing and lining. It’s so cozy, we think it’s ideal for lounging around the house - especially handy when you need to step out for more firewood or even into town for a bottle of brandy. With simple, clean lines reminiscent of the traditional haori and rendered in a subtly striped cotton, it suits men and women equally in this country, as it does in Japan.
