The Squid is a mighty little beast, a trusted companion if there ever was one. Opening packages, slashing cordage, severing twine, any small job that demands a quick reliable edge: The Squid is at your service. The button lock mechanism provides effortless one-handed deployment and secure lockup. At just over three inches closed, it vanishes in a pocket and delivers when duty calls.   

Lucas Burnley's design centers on basic geometry: a compact frame that maximizes cutting edge while minimizing bulk. The drop-point blade is made of D2 steel, a proven alloy that retains an edge through regular use and sharpens easily. Black oxide coating adds corrosion resistance without sacrificing function. The G10 handle keeps the knife light while providing a secure grip, even when wet. 

Columbia River Knife & Tool has manufactured functional blades in Oregon since 1994. Their manufacturing process emphasizes tight tolerances and consistent quality control. The Squid reflects three decades of refinement in production knife-making.

Wipe the blade clean after use. D2 steel resists corrosion but benefits from occasional light oil application, particularly after exposure to moisture or acidic materials. Clean the pivot and button lock mechanism periodically with compressed air. Apply a drop of light machine oil to the pivot when action becomes stiff. G10 handles require no special maintenance.
